At Conlon Dart, we enjoy many opportunities to give back and positively impact our community, and freely encourage our team members to participate in volunteering and community service opportunities whenever they can. This past year we participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and raised over $5,000 to help find a cure. We later worked with Mountains to Sound Greenway to help with the habitat restoration efforts at Discovery Park.
Recently, we volunteered at the Treehouse Wearhouse, a store where youth in foster care and their caregivers can shop for free for clothing, shoes, toys and school supplies. Our task was to sort donations, organize and prepare merchandise for shopping days. We efficiently readied various products for the shelves (Thomas the Tank Engine gear dominated the shelves that day), and had a blast doing so. Our team came away extremely impressed with the Treehouse spirit and highly organized operation that serves so many children in need each year.
Thank you to Treehouse for allowing us to be part of your mission, giving foster kids a childhood and a future.
